  • Hello. I am a photographer in the Canadian Interior Northwest.

I was born in Argentina. My parents are Argentinean of German descent. My parents moved to Valparaiso, Chile when I was 1 1/2 years old. They moved back to Argentina (Buenos Aires) when I was 12 years old. I came to the USA at age 21 on a scholarship to study as a teacher. I met my husband at college, we married, and I never returned to Argentina. We have 5 children. A few years ago my husband and I decided to emigrate to Canada. We lived in Ottawa, Ontario for a number of years, then moved to British Columbia, where we live now.

My main interest in photography is nature, not so much the expansive landscapes, but intimate portraits of flowers, seeds, moss, running water, trees, and all the other beautiful things that surround us in the natural world. I also like to experiment with making images of everyday objects using the same thinking as when approaching nature closeups: I try to create an impression, a sort of description in a picture-story of what these objects are and how beautiful they are no matter how common.

Overall, I think that “impressions” would be a good description of the images I like to make most. Impressions of nature, of life, of all the things beautiful thoughts and dreams and memories are made of.
